The Road Beyond

A forthcoming work of civilisational inquiry on modern disorientation and the recovery of human subjectivity.

The Road Beyond is the third movement in Philippe Wuyts’s philosophical architecture.

Where Unslaved gives modern captivity its story, and The Structure of Being states the laws beneath it, The Road Beyond turns toward the question of renewal.

It begins from a simple recognition: the modern crisis is not only political, economic, technological, or psychological. It is a crisis of orientation.

Human beings are increasingly managed by systems they do not understand, measured by abstractions they did not create, and asked to surrender responsibility to collectives that cannot suffer, choose, love, or die in their place.

The Road Beyond asks what forms of life, ethics, and civilisation might become possible when sovereignty, consent, value, and truth are restored as first principles.

Where Unslaved dramatises the wound through literature, and The Structure of Being states the principles through axioms, The Road Beyond opens the path forward through civilizational inquiry.

Together, they ask how the human being can pass from captivity to sovereignty, from abstraction to reality, and from existential exhaustion back into a life capable of meaning.
